Sue2 Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 Hi, I'm Sue from San Jose. One of my all-time favorite books is Spong's Liberating the Gospels--it's really amazing! I enjoy reading his Q&A each week. My progressive Presbyterian church is several years into a small-scale deaf ministry. We have 4 deaf members including one serving on Session and about 6 deaf visitors each week. In order to develop this ministry, we need to learn about some resource people. We do not know of another progressive church with this type of ministry. I serve on the Personnel & Administration Committee which really needs input on this subject. I hope someone out there has some! 1 Quote
PaulS Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 I wish you well Sue but sorry, I don't know of any such resources. Paul Quote
JosephM Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 Welcome Sue, I have not heard of another ministry such as yours among Progressive Christianity. Sounds like a worthy work. You might check out our main site at www.progressivechristianity.org where there are resources that may provide the contacts you are seeking. Joseph Quote
soma Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 Greeting Sue, I would try the school district because they have deaf students are in touch with most of the resources in the local area. Quote
