  1. Thank you for the link. It was enlightening. I could lable myself as a Christian Universal Dialectic. Here is why: The Christian symbol of the Trinity is used to bring us above reason to a nonlinear experience. It serves as an exit point from the physical world of parts to the interrelated multidimensional world of consciousness. It is not possible to govern at the same time all the diverse systems of the universe with only one component so Christians show God as a Trinity. God is represented as the Father, the Creator and the all-pervading consciousness from which everything comes forth. He is revealed in human life by the Son, the individual consciousness and is forever at work in nature through the Holy Ghost. God the Father is the subject. The Holy Ghost is the verb and the force that brings about creation. Whatever the Holy Ghost does is usually known as nature, but it is not nature. Nature is the property of the force of the Holy Ghost. God the Father is only consciousness, but He is the all-knowing entity and witnesses what the Holy Ghost does. The Holy Ghost is only suspended within the all-pervading consciousness of the Father. "And God said, Let there be light and there was light." In the beginning if there is only God, then whom is He commanding to let there be light? Remember when we talked about the primordial ocean of pure consciousness? The Holy Ghost is permitted to super-impose vibrations on the pure consciousness, it is the force that froze the water to make ice. We can say that one part of pure consciousness is directing another part to create as the subject permits the verb to act in the sentence. Now, in our sentence we have the subject and the verb, so the third part of the Trinity is the object. This is the Son. The Holy Ghost is sent forth from the Father, but the Son comes from the Father, and is made of the same material, pure consciousness. The relationship of the son and the Father is the same as between you and your hand as the microcosm is a reflection of the macrocosm. This relationship in consciousness cannot create more consciousness; therefore the goal of the object is to know the subject. The Son and the Father correspond, but they are not equal. The Father is one and is united with everything. This principle of unity is ever active in the Son, but the Son must become aware of it, and become what He was before time. Our minds are just dots in this vast universe of pure consciousness so we cannot grasp it, but must sense this union with everything.
  2. There is only one God that is composed of everything. Having said that He is omnipresent and sees everything within, but also without through us. He sees everything within and the duality without through our mind which can't grasp the immensity. Our eyes can't see something that is too small or too big, but do we have to see the sun or the electron to say it exist. We see a road and say it has a beginning and an end because we see one or the other, but if you see both ends simutaneously we see only one. God is everything on the table. We see a fork and think there is duality because we can't see the whole table. I said reduce everything to one, but it seems we are expanding our consciousness to one.
  3. We take in the theories and get high. It's all good.
  4. Lao Tze a taoist poet reads like a zen koan that snaps the mind to a parrellel universe where all is united. All religions trying to describe what cannot be described with words. We are in the matrix.
  5. I went to India and lived as a monk, not buddhist, but I enjoyed the movie because it brought back memories of the older monks who taught and guided me with patience.
  6. In my statement everything is one. God is everything. The water in the ocean is the collective unconscious as Jung would say I like to call it God's consciousness. The icebergs in the ocean of pure consciousness is also water so it is also pure consciousness in another form which can communicate and become one with the pure consciousness of one. Jesus said, " I and the Father are One." Nirvana the sanskrit term for enlightenment means without form (pure consciousness) . The small whirpool merges with other whirpools until there is only one. We are on the tip or crest of the wave so we wave and talk and think that there are two of us, but if we go deeper into ourselves, Jesus said, "The kingdom of God is within" We go deeper and deeper in the wave until we are connected in the ocean of pure consciousness. Everything affects everything because it is connected. God is among us within and beyond our unit mind.
  7. I feel the trinity is a way to talk about one universal consciousness with a mind that sees duality. It is like a music chord where three notes vibrate tobether to make one Chord or sound, universe ( uni or one verse). God Generator=God Operator= The Holy Ghost Destroyer= Jesus who came here to bring us away from the ego to focus on a broader focus, the all pervading pure consciousness of God.
  8. A simple view is to reduce everything down or up to one. The infinite is everything because everything is within it, but if we look at the word infinite we see that the infinite is in the finite (in-finite). Another way to explain this would be the infinite is an ocean of pure consciousness and creation or finite are ice burgs in that ocean of pure consciousness. Both are pure consciousness as h20 is in both the ocean and the ice. I don't know which ism this relates to, but I feel it can be explained with science and metaphysics. Iinteresting web sites can be viewed at: http://www.geocities.com/trinitypublishing2004/ http://www.geocities.com/trinitypublishing..._evolution.html
  9. I feel the theories of God and His revelation can be explained in modern terms and with rational, scientific explanations to satisfy the intellect. Once the inttect is satisfied we can go beyond it and feel Christ consciousness as we are lead through intuition and inspiration to a higher consciousness that is closer to God the Father or Pure consciousness. If I am becomming a better person and closer to God I have no fear and will not be intimidated by people who are afraid to shift their position to higher ground. Many people who are not haveing a spiritual experience condemn the practise because they are grounded in materialism. I think that is why Jesus was orinigally condemned and cruxcified.
  10. I like God/dess I will try to use this term more often. Wouldn't it be nice if we thought of God/dess as an all pervading consciousness that permeates everything (impersonal), but is in all the people we know and don't know (personal) so by serving them we are serving God/dess.
  11. Jesus is helping us be alert to our habitual thought patterns, which will make us aware to what causes us to think in negative patterns and what causes positive thoughts. The truth will help us to change our negative thoughts into positive ones so we can observe the presence and power of God everywhere and become aware that we are a part of the great unity expressed in God's pure consciousness.
  12. Your poster sums up everything we are trying to say. I use to think I was a body with a soul so that poster would be scary, but now I know I am a soul with a body and can appreciate your keen sense of humor. Thanks to TheMeekShall
  13. I just read and enjoyed this thread. You are all right, Jesus has been kidnapped by the right, and there is a need to claim Christianity because it too has been hijacked. The best tools are humor and love to counter their intolerance and hatred. I don't think we can define one personal relationship with Jesus as what Jesus is, but welcome all descriptions. We are all on different roads going through different things at different times. Some are organizers, some social workers, some philosophers or intellectuals debating philosophy, but if Christ is in their heart they are doing his work. Jesus is loving when we need love and stern when we need to stiffen up a bit. The relationship changes and progresses as we get closer. Every social movement starts with consciousness so when we raise our consciousness the people around us are affected. All boats rise with the tide. The right's weapon of mass desception will have no effect on our Chrisitaniy if we keep the values we hold dear in Christianity and Christ close to our hearts and follow that inner guide. We don't have to define but live the word and the light will be passed on. The right can only pee on a person's leg and tell them it is raining for a short time before they change position.
  14. Hi, The author of the following book is a Catholic who lived as a monk teaching yoga and meditation. He wrote the book using Christian terms to express the mystical experience. The author lived as a monk and has some refreshing ideas on Christianity. The book is appealing in particular because it explains the Christian mysteries so everyone can understand them. The book evolves in stages as the reader is taken on a transforming journey through the layers of the mind, the parts of the mind and evolution. Among the themes explored are: Christ Consciousness, Trinity, and the Soul. It answered many questions that I had and it leads one to Christian Mysticism. I would recommend Evolution of Consciousness as a resource for spiritual renewal because the book outlines, with specific and practical guidelines, a life any person in the world—no matter their station—might adopt with great benefit. Here is ancient Christian wisdom written so contemporary Christians may understand. The web site is http://geocities.com/trinitypublishing2004/ http://geocities.com/trinitypublishing2004...4/artpage1.html
  15. At this time I can't use any of it, but I think they will let me use the "other religions" after a suspension, but I am banned forever from Christianity. Good thing Jesus is in my heart. I think it is terrible that they have to protect Christians from thoughts, ideas even if they are provocative. I feel Christians can think and think of the Almighty God in many ways.
  16. I lived as a monk for awhile. Here is a story that I enjoyed very much. I hope it helps. Two monks are walking and talking down by the river, when they come across a pretty woman who is having difficulty crossing the river. One monk picks up the woman without saying a word and carries her to the other side. The two monks walk for another two hours without saying a word, when the second monk says, "You picked that pretty woman up and carried her across the river." The first monk replies," I picked her up and carried her to the other side and put her down, but I see you have been carrying her for two hours."
  17. Are you more comfortable with Satan making you think those bad thoughts than taking responsibility for them?
  18. One appeal that was rejected. They kept asking me questions which I answered at the end. My defense: There is but one pure consciousness, one power and one medium that we all use." I said that and the Nicene Creed says," We believe in one God." I said, "This medium is in one God that creates many manifestations. Multiplicity comes from unity without breaking up the one true God or Whole because everything is in God." The Nicene Creed says, "We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life." This is saying the same thing in different words. The moderator is off base saying what I wrote doesn't support the Nicene Creed. Whoever complained is way off base and needs to pray and stop condemnation of a statement that says there is one God. From the Bible quotes to support my arguement: You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe---and tremble! James 2:19 NKJV There is only one God. Ephesians 4:6 NLT Your eyes are too pure to behold evil, and you cannot look on wrongdoing. Habakkuk 1:13 NRSV The Lord despises the thoughts of the wicked, but he delights in pure words. Proverbs 15:26 NLT "The true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father seeks such as these to worship him." John 4:23 NRSV "God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." John 4:24 NKJV One God and Father of all, who is over all, and through all, and in all. Ephesians 4:6 BBE The Lord is God, in heaven on high and here on earth; there is no other God. Deuteronomy 4:39 BBE "Am I a God who is only in one place and cannot see what they are doing? Can anyone hide from me? Am I not everywhere in all of heaven and earth?" Jeremiah 23:23-24 TLB The eyes of the Lord are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good. Proverbs 15:3 RSV For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things. Romans 11:36 BBE "The Lord our God, the Lord is one!" Deuteronomy 6:4 NKJV "I am the First and Last; there is no other God." Isaiah 44:6 TLB Answer to questions Yes, I believe in the Trinity: The Father , The Son and The Holy Ghost. Yes, I believe in One God of the Universe. Jesus had human feelings and I believe in Jesus. Jesus is the human manifestation of God. God has no beginning and no end. Jesus became human so the answer is yes and no. Yes the trinity is three, but there is only one God. God can do what he wants, he is everything. Anwer to more questions There is one God that is exclusive. This one God is made up of the trinity; the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. If God is everything and the trinity is God then there is nothing outside of God or the Trinity. In the beginning there was God. So God is all there is. Jesus is God and he is with us. quote.gif Answer to more questions God is three persons in one: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit. The three are seen operating together in Hebrews 9:14 where Christ, through the Holy Spirit, offered Himself without sin to God. "I (Jesus) and my Father are one." John 10:30 There is no limit to God's existence in time or in distance. He is infinite in all directions. Was God speaking through the burning bush to Moses? Are you asking the same questions that the pharisees asked? The name of the Church is The Immaculate Conception. Do you feel like a pharisee? You are surely acting like one.
  19. Staff have edited your profile Dear somasoma77, We have edited your profile: Specifically, we edited this part of your profile: Your icon has been changed to Other-Church. Changing it back when you return from suspension will result in more warnings. I got this message and was banned from christianforums.com for awhile because I wrote a piece on Christian Tolerance. They say I am not Christian and can't post on the Christian section only on the other religion section. I don't think they are very moderate. I also appealed the decision many times to no avail. I will post one of my appeals. They didn't like the part where I said there was one God.
  20. I have read the book and it is very profound. The book takes you deeper in your mind so the ego doesn't get in the way of the teachings of Jesus. I would say the teachings are very progressive and Christian. Glad to see you are enjoying it.
  21. Socialism is not a bad word, it came about way before Carl Marx. Christians practise socialism and make the world a better place. Luke 3:11 11 He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise. Jesus and his disciples completely shared their material possessions. Matthew 19:21,24 21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. ... 24 And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. The common good is considered honorable and more divine than the selfish attitude of every man for himself that Conservatives profess. Today, over a billion people live in abject poverty in the world. "Thou shall love thy neighbor as thyself" Does not mean imperalism or capitalizing on others misfortunes. If we let all believers interpret the Bible for themselves, it could lead to democratic thoughts, countering the conservative view that clergy only can interpret. Any person can understand the Scriptures as well as (or better than) many learned clerics. The Bible in English has helped men and women to think about society, to criticise its institutions, and to question some of today's values. The consevative clerics today know all the prices, but not the value. They are mean minded and do not lead by example.
  22. Thanks those are great comments. I see your point and will see how Christ way fits, I hope for other suggestions too.
  23. Here is the rewrite. Please give comments. I will rewrite again if necessary. Today, there exists a division between Christians and their brothers and sisters the Fundamentalist on the question of the role of humans in the universe. This question is not just for philosophy and theology but for science as well. To answer this question I will have to expand on the traditional boundaries of Christianity. Christians who are progressive see Christ’s physical relationship with people as a unity between love of God and love of the world while Fundamentalist see only the love of God. Jesus Christ the Progressive’s savior sees God everywhere through an increased interior vision of unity and an increased consciousness that I will refer to as Christ consciousness. This mysterious gift in our existence is the grace that gets us past the perception of multiplicity so one truly loves another as oneself. Christ consciousness brings real consistency to the world and sweeps away all differences so Progressive Christians can accept the Fundamentalist and other religions while laboriously expanding their own consciousness with their love and selfless actions. The thrust is not from a church organization below, but from an attraction above in the expanded thought of Jesus Christ. Progressive Christians do not have to be resigned to lead a double life between a church’s dogma and their spiritual experience in the all-encompassing love of Christ because ultimately the uniting force of Christ consciousness helps them see that God is everywhere and in all people. Their charity and work to make society better unifies Progressive Christians on a deeper level. The unconditional love of Jesus prevails and one can see it in the charity and service being redered. The Progressive Christians see God in the world and in humanity so God is everywhere. By helping other people who are poor or less fortunate they are serving God. This external method of selfless service helps one discover the interior vision and motive of Jesus. It makes people more like Christ by developing the unit consciousness, bringing greater love along with an internal and external awareness of unity. Christ consciousness transfers one to a higher level that can be compared to the boiling of a liquid, where injection of energy suddenly changes the liquid into a gas. We can see this as consciousness develops in evolution from the act of instinct to the act of thought. Critical points are reached in evolution, rungs on a ladder climbed expanding awareness and consciousness towards a higher all pervading consciousness. This upward “coiling” towards a greater intelligence in humans I would call Christ consciousness. Science has shown evolution to be an ascent towards man and his reflective consciousness while Progressive Christianity is trying to show through Christ an ascent to God the Father. This ascent brings greater unity, happiness and love because Jesus had a more advanced perception, a greater love and consciousness so he can show us the way and the light. Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (From the NIV Bible, John 14:6)” A greater love, unity, and consciousness like Jesus has presents us with an ideal to follow. Christ consciousness allows people to experience God in everything, therefore the need to serve, act and cooperate with everything. He gives us a new mind-set and a new concept of life, which helps us form a new humanity on the individual and community level for Christians and non-Christians. This is a new concept, a belief that helps one transcend biological evolution and start spiritual evolution. This causes a social evolution because as the individual progresses so does society. Progressive Christianity is therefore a path to spiritual progress and social change. Jesus said, "I am the light and the way and it is only through me that my Father's kingdom can be attained." Jesus was a man, and Christ was the perfect man so some refer to Jesus Christ as the God man. Christ consciousness is perfect. The Christ way is to lay aside our fears, doubts and worries so we can enter into a silent, peaceful contemplation God. God is everywhere so He is within us and is perfect so our doubts and fears our destroyed, and all uncertainty and disbelief cast out. Christ consciousness helps one to let go, to drop every fear, and to enter into inner communion with God and our fellow beings. A Progressive Christian serves others because by doing this God is also being served. This path to development is individual and collective. It is collective because we are all developing or progressing to the same Almighty Power. For example, we are sitting on a beach watching the sunset. I see a path from the sun reflecting off the ocean directed to me. I call this the Christian or Christ way, but the person next to me sees a different path reflecting off the water, and that path is called something else. A Progressive Christian accepts both paths because they are directed to the same sun, the same light or Almighty Power. A Fundamental Christian would have difficulty with another path to God. All Christians draw full, complete and perfect joy from Christ because He helps us remove all mental obstructions to peace. All confusion, doubt, condemnation and judgments are surrendered to God. The Soul is higher than the mind and more than the body so all conflicts can be removed and healed without effort, both in the mind and the body. The Christ way governs the activities of life leading all Christians to fulfillment with joy, love, unity, happiness and success. The Progressive Christian sees many paths to God depending on the individual, but the Fundamentalist sees only one. The Progressive Christian serves God by serving humanity and his community while the Fundamentalist serves God by preaching. The way of Jesus Christ is a path that Progressive Christians have chosen, but they realize that there are many paths as there are individuals, thus Christianity has the Progressives and the Fundamentalist who believe in only one path. Jesus said He is the only way, which is through the light of harmony and unity. That means serving others because that is a part of unity. There are many candles giving off warmth and lighting other candles so I think Jesus was saying it is only through perfecting, serving, and developing that one experiences the kingdom of the Almighty.
  24. Thanks , I have noticed that now that you pointed it out. I will probably have to rewrite it a few times. I just rewrote it already changing some of the sexiest language and dropping consciousness a couple of times with different descriptions.
  25. Is speaking New Age wrong when we talk about Christ? I feel if God is beyond our individual mind there would be many ways to describe Him. Social change is important, but a society is made up of individuals so if we develop the individual we develop society. Spiritual progress social change. Jeep I like you post that we are always with God. I see God as an ocean of pure consciousness and us as cups of that water floating in the ocean. Our ego being the cup. Tha water in the cup is the same as the ocean, but the ego separates us. Is that similar to the course on miracles, sounds interesting. Brother Rog keep up the good work to make our society better, God knows we need improvement. Thanks for the post
