Free Online Workshop for Religious Conflict

Recommended Posts

My name is Arcadia Lee and I am reaching out on behalf of Dr. Liz Mancuso (Pepperdine University), Dr. Rosemond Lorona (Point Loma Nazarene University) and the rest of our team. We are offering a free online workshop to help people who are experiencing conflict with others about religious or spiritual topics. Developed by a team of psychologists, the program is based on psychological research and methods and targets the emotional, cognitive, and behavioral components of religious/spiritual conflicts between people. As such, we do not address the content of the religious/spiritual struggle or work from a position of religious authority. The workshop is appropriate for individuals of any or no religion. For participants who are religious, the workshop is meant to supplement (not replace) the religious and spiritual support provided by a religious community.

The workshop is called Grounded to Grow. All components are completed online at a time that is convenient for participants. We are recruiting English-speaking adults to participate in this free workshop so that we can evaluate whether the workshop is effective (participants are also offered a gift card incentive for completing the associated surveys).

We sincerely hope you will consider sharing this information with those who may benefit from the workshop. Together, we can increase support for those experiencing emotional or relational distress related to religious/spiritual conflict.

Please don't hesitate to reach out to us with questions at grounded2growworkshop@gmail.com or call ‪(323)-902-6967‬. You can also reach Liz Mancuso, the primary investigator on this project at elizabeth.mancuso@pepperdine.edu
