  1. I'll put Dead Zone back in my to watch list, when it comes back on. I'll watch Cold Case or Without a Trace from time to time too.

Just in case you think all I do is watch TV, in my defense I DVR them and we watch them when we get the time.  ;)

If I had to choose what ones I couldn't give up, it would be Lost, House and Monk.  :D

"It's a jungle out there, disorder and confusion everywhere. No-one seems to care, but I do. Hey! Who's in charge here?"

Lest she forget, when The 4400 returns we'll be adding this to our must watch list. :D -

The not so active husband ;)

  2. Second Bite:  Elaine Pagels, The Gnostic Gospels, when knowledge acquisition is primary

Any John D. Macdonald novel when entertainment is the priority.

Question:  Do you think that movies are better then ever? Or, do you think that they have become less entertainment and more illusory gimmickry since digital production and special effects were introduced in the late 70's and early 80's?

I would say there is a wider range of freedom in movies today that allow for some truly unique films. Movies like Star Wars (the original), Apollo 13, Finding Nemo, Truman, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Being John Malkovich, Lord of the Rings trilogy reflect great story telling, thought and even compelling visuals only possible with digital production and effects.

Then there are the classics my wife and I have been enjoying from the 80's like "The Breakfast Club." & "Ferris Beuller". What can I say...

This same freedom means there are also some extremely bad movies out there. I won't list those...

Question: What music do you find yourself listening to today? And how much has your taste changed over the years?

  3. Update:

OUCH!!!! Ouch Ouch Ouch Ouch Ouch Ouch Ouch Ouch Ouch Ouch Ouch !!!

I tried to be stoic, but I'm a wuss. It hurts. Thank goodness for codeine.  :P  :D

Ouch, Ouch, Ouch is right... Yesterday was a rough day for her. Having to hobble up and down from three different floors in our split level home to do even the most basic things just wasn't fun for her. And if it wasn't her foot that bothered her it was the arm they did the Tetnus shot in. Ouch, ouch, ouch all over again.

Cynthia I like your idea for her... Hot Tea or better yet a Hot Foamy Carmel Machiatto, good book and chocolate... (Leg up on pillows of course)

For those of you who don't know I'm the husband :D...

So, hun follow most of Cynthia's advise and stay off your feet again today. :). Love you...
