I have done a bit of looking at the beliefs of progressive christianity, and a couple questions come to mind.
1. If many people have true paths to the same God, then why does John 14, verses 5,6, and 7 say:
5Thomas said to him, "Lord, we don't know where you are going, so how can we know the way?"
6Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him."
2. Is not God's first commandment to us, "You shall have no other gods besides me." How does this leave room for any belief to be true and right, other than christianity?
Forgive me if I find some of what I read on this site hard to stomach, but it really makes no sense.
"You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men." Matthew 5:13
