jong62 Posted April 21, 2004 Posted April 21, 2004 (edited) Foreword ==================================================== "Peter seeing him (John) saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do? Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? Follow thou me. "Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, if I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?" John 21:21-23 John, the Beloved, the Revelator, an Apostle of Jesus, perhaps the most mysterious man in history, comes alive in this book. Legend has it that John never died and still roams the earth as a teacher. The contents of this first book and additional books about The Immortal may or may not be true. It is up to the reader to decide. But whatever the opinion rendered, the story and teachings herein are worthy of serious consideration. ================================================ Read about the Immortal Book 1 online:- http://www.thenewagesite.com/jjdewey/immor...al/foreword.php Edited April 21, 2004 by jong62 Quote
Guest jeep Posted April 21, 2004 Posted April 21, 2004 jong62: I would love to read and discuss this book, but I must obtain a copy first. Do you have the publisher of it? Jeep Quote
Guest jeep Posted May 12, 2004 Posted May 12, 2004 ToAll: I found this book with the help of Amazon.com, and have found it fascinating reading. The possibility that the Apostle John is still living among us which is implied in John 21:21-23, leads the author into an amazing relationship today. The author's circumstances in the novel parallel my own which enhances the interest it has for me. Chapter Five introduces a perennial question: WHO OR WHAT ARE YOU? Finding the answer has led me far afield from previous excursions into this seminal question of deep concern to philosophers and theologians to this day. When I find the imortal's answer, or rather when the author poses one of satisfactory content to the Imortal, I'll be back with it. Hopefully, so will some of you in due course. Jeep Quote
