Necessity Of Doubt

I think it very revealing that when Thomas expressed doubt, Jesus did not chide him or shame him for his doubt...instead, Jesus said, here, here is wounds of the nails in my hands, here,here is the sword wound in my side...here, stick your hand in an check it out for yourself. Here, examine the evidence, the proof.

I think of that every time someone says I should just believe something because they, or even their interpretation of the bible or denominational doctrines say so....I think, ok, show me the wound...show me the evidence, let me stick my hand in and check it out for myself.
