Brian Holley Posted December 20, 2010 Share Posted December 20, 2010 I'm excited at discovering the Progressing Christianity site through the Evolutionary Christianity series of interviews which Michael Dowd is conducting via Richard Rohr's site. That should give you a bit of picture of my current position. I was a fundamentalist Christian 40 years ago but then ploughed a lonely spiritual furrow until about four years ago when I became involved with my local Quaker meeting. About five years ago I started revisiting the Bible and especially the teachings of Jesus in the light of the Tao Teh Ching, the Upanishads and the Bhagavad Gita, which have been my main sources of inspiration over many years. I'm amazed at how much more wonderful the teachings of Jesus have become when informed by the light of other scriptures.
