AllInTheNameOfProgress Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 I've heard about the Kirk Cameron movie, Fireproof from some of my evangelical friends. Loving with intention in a person's marriage is always a good topic for a spiritual discussion group. I was thinking of investigating it for use at my progressive church. Has anyone seen it? Done the accompanying study? Would you recommend it? Is it too right-wing?
fatherman Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 I watched it with my wife. It was powerful and inspiring. Potentially life-changing. Some may not like the conservative slant, but I would encourage you to look beyond that. Also keep in mind that we're talking about a church production, not Hollywood professionals. Bearing that in mind, it's pretty astonishing what a group of amateur church actors can achieve. Worth watching.
AllInTheNameOfProgress Posted May 13, 2009 Author Posted May 13, 2009 I'm hoping to watch it this week. Two of my non-religious friends recommended it. Thanks!
October's Autumn Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 I wouldn't watch anything with Kirk Cameron in it.
