Hey, I'm Lee, and while a divinity student in Boston, I started to write "The Gospel of Arnie," a novel for progressive Christians (or anyone who's struggling with 'orthodox' Christian faith). It's three years later and Arnie has finally been published.

To help get the word out, I'm sending out free copies. I'm sending copies out to other message boards, but I definitely set one aside for TCPC. Maybe two.

"The Gospel of Arnie" is a YA novel and was written for high school/college students. Yet anyone who's disillusioned with classical theism would like this novel. It's about a Catholic teenager named Arnie and his wild adventures at college, adventures that involve getting baptized with beer and bong water, reinterpreting Jesus' parables, getting 5,000 people stoned at a concert, sex, and a confrontation with a progressive Catholic priest.

I wrote a novel that I would have liked as a teen, a teen who struggled with difficult questions about the Christian faith in the contemporary world. The novel's theology is along the lines of Borg and the process thinkers. Maybe a little bit of Spong too, but I tried to put a personal God in there wink.gif

So, are there any takers?

Okay, I have one more copy of "The Gospel of Arnie." It's been a month and still there are no takers on this site.

Does anybody want a copy? The novel is a social and theological critique of the Catholic Church. It's also not for the conservative believer, so you'd better be a liberal/progressive if you want it.

To read a sample chapter, visit my myspace (see below). Find the blog, then click on "New Novel Slams Catholic Church."

Get back to me and I'll send it off.
