I'm really enjoying this. This is a series of programs about the "science of the Bible". I think it is a bit loose to call it science-- there is archaeology, theology (esp. as far as traditions of Judaism), art history, history, etc etc. I think they are really well done. A recent one figured our friend Marcus Borg. However, it doesn't at all deal with anythign exactly religious about it.

For ex. a recent one was on the last supper-- what was served, where it occured, when, Who would have been there, etc. Not sure that it added to my understanding in any spiritual sense-- prob. not, but I thought it was all very absorbing.

OK, now I'm off to do a satelite search and see if it's going to re-run.

Yes, I missed today's. I think it was about Jesus' preaching. I think they are doing a very nice job of this, and yes, I really love this sort of thing as well. Anything with archeology and my current obsession (whatever that might be) is a good thing. I like the multi-disciplinary thing to it all.
