As a progressive minister, it has been my dream to be called to a church/faith community that shares my general outlook on God and Life.
In starting this thread, it is my hope that others looking for positions might join in as well as those who have positions to offer.
If you know of any faith community who are searching for progressive leaders, please contact me.
Peace,
Brent

Hi Brent,
My name is Kevin, and I too dream of leading a congregation of progressive Christians. I was Baptist growing up, had my undergrad and seminary training in reputable and accredited Baptist schools, yet was too liberal to continue pastoring Baptist churches. I resigned from my last church just a few months ago and am not executive director of a Red Cross chapter in Winona County, MN. Still, my talents are in teaching and writing, and I am very frustrated. Do you know of anywhere else where people like us can seek employment in progressive churches? It seems this aspect of the progressive movement is not quite up to par.
Best regards,
Kevin

I am resigned to the fact that the answer is not not not working for a church.
We're called to work in the world.
Perhaps thats what God intended...by allowing this.
