In September 2004, a thousand members of the Faith Voices community used Synanim to create "Lift Every Voice: Christianity and the Future of America," which became a study document for churches across the country, read from pulpits and posted at websites. In March 2005, thirteen thousand, in "Peace Not Poverty," called for immediate withdrawal from Iraq, an international peace-keeping presence, and reparations to help it rebuild.
We are going for a third statement. Join us next week on June 2-3 as we "Envision the Future" using Synanim to create a blueprint for the June 8-10 conference at Princeton University, "Envision: the Gospel, Politics, and the Future." It will be studied there and result in a decade-long vision for engaged Christian action in the public sphere.
You can participate June 2-3 during any two-hour block of time, beginning on the hour, from any internet accessible computer anywhere in the world. Register now to offer your most passionate commitments and discover what you share with others.
What can progressive people do together to transform the world as we face a historic turning point in this crucial year?
Give your answer during the Synanim dialog next week. Register at http://www.fvcommuni...x.php?sid=89674
See what others have said to inspire social change:
1. The UN Millennium Goals, http://www.un.org/millenniumgoals/
2. The 2008 Social Creed for Churches, http://www.ncccusa.o...ocialcreed.html
3. The Evangelical Manifesto (I got a warning to be suspicious about this link)
Four years ago when the Faith Voices community created Lift Every Voice to proclaim the values and concerns of progressive Christians, the media largely ignored progressive religious people. They wanted stories about the religious right. Today, the Envision conference June 8-10 has already provoked media interest, even before it begins.
One of the most intense points of interest is the "Envison the Future" statement the conference will issue on June 12. The recent Evangelical Manifesto received criticism for its largely male, white, and older writing crew. Now, the media want to see what we can do.
Your participation next Monday or Tuesday, June 2 or 3, is crucial to creating a document that moves beyond the tired religious tropes of the past. Register now to be part of in the Synanim online dialog to create a draft of the Envision statement. We need your voice in the mix!
If you have two hours, become part of the future of justice-making politics and policies. Synanim will allow us all to move beyond both a gray, watered-down consensus and fierce polemics. Instead, we will work on a lively creative synthesis of the best we all can imagine. So don't miss this chance to imagine a different, better future and world.
Then, if you can come June 8-10, get yourself to Princeton to hear the amazing diversity in age, race, and gender that will lead the Envision conference. There is still time to register, and housing is still available.
Hope to "see" you next week online, and some of you at Princeton.

I tried to participate in this Synanim but they didn't keep their end of the invite. The information that I was given proved to be fantasy, the invite to me was only a hoax to tease me or phish for my information.
I'm sorry that I even tried to share this stuff with you people.
I did one of these events in the past, I could see that people like Davidk would have done really well with their beliefs which they are parallel conservative. I thought that this invite looked interesting as they cited that they wanted to have more of a progressive point of view. And that is where I am...
I see it and I know it...
