I have had a hard time finding a church with BOTH liberal theology AND user-friendly, contemporary seeker type worship. It seems like a lot of the churches with user-friendly worship are conservative theologically (i.e. Willow Creek and Willow Creek Association churches and Saddleback, etc). Most of the churches that are open and affirming that have a liberal theology seem to want to do "high church" or at least "traditional" church and are more liturgical, formal and.... for people like me.. boring. That is what http://www.liberalseekers.org is about. The conservative theologians are reaching the masses with their exciting multimedia worship services that utilize contemporary music. I would like to see churches with liberal theology reach beyond the choir and reach some of those "seekers" too.

liberal - I certainly hope you find what you seek, but please try to understand that the purpose of church is not to entertain, it is to bring the seeker closer to God. We keep the Mass in our church because Holy Communion works if approached with reverance - it invited the Holy Spirit into the heart and souls of man.
Besides - if it's really that boring either you, or the Priest are doing it wrong. At St. Fechin's (www.stfechins.org) we manage to keep worship lively, joyfull and traditional.
