In general I found NBC TV coverage improved with more attention to actual events and less hype. I was really glad to hear a number of athletes say that getting a gold medal isn't what the olympics are all about or even their particular sport. Enjoying the sport is what it's all about.

I thought the athletes were fabulous and had really worked on being sportmanlike even in very difficult moments. The announcers on the other hand, seemed determined to stab each and every one of them! I really wanted to turn the announcers off.... or make fun of them trying to stand up on a snowboard publically. :>
