HI. My name it Tea Melton. I'm new. This is my first popst. I wanted to introduce myself and my blog "A Christian's Guide to American Politics" at http://americanchris...cs.blogspot.com. I hope you'll check it out.

I'm the daughter of a United Methodist Minister and I live in the "Bible Belt". Progressive Christianity is hard to come by here, and my blog is upsetting some people in my town. GOOD! My dad loves it.... As a progressive Christian, he knows how much guts it takes to stick you neck out in this part of the country. It's nice to have found a community I can feel comfortable in.

I hope you'll all check out the blog. I look forwrd to more discussions with all of you.

SweetTea,

Welcome to the forum! I went to your blog and read some of your posts - I think we are probably on the same wavelength. I am a Christian and have attended a Southern Baptist Church since my early teens. I'm not sure that I am exactly a Progressive Christian, I think different people have different definitions of the term. I think maybe I am just a Christian who is appalled that there are others out there who are using His name to push THEIR agenda. I wish you luck with your blog.

God Bless,
TammyJo58
